“Oh my goodness these the best bananas ever.” I was that bitch in the grocery store eating the food before she paid for it. Meijer’s had the best bananas in the world, fresh, big and just sweet. With one of my ear buds from my Bluetooth in my ear I was listening to Tyra B I’m Still In Love song from my music app on my phone. I loved this song and it matched my mood I been in for the past few days. I was on my third one while I pushed my cart in the baby section. I didn’t even know what I was having, but I couldn’t help myself. Now, anywhere I went I made my way to the baby section.

“Awww the widdle toes.” I smiled and said out loud holding up some baby socks.

“Are you expecting?” I turned around when I heard a deep voice behind me. The guy wasn’t anything special, but he was dressed nice and had some sexy eyes.

“Um, yea I am. I’m not that far along.”

“No I understand, my sister just had a baby girl, and her shower is tomorrow. She got me and our mama going crazy.” We both laughed.

“I can’t wait to find out what I’m having. I’m going to buy everything.”

“I bet.” He looked my body over and then looked back at my face.

“So I don’t see a ring on your finger. Is the father around?” He asked that and here my emotional ass go getting all sad.

“Oh shit I apologize. I didn’t mean to overstep or make you feel sad.”

“No, it’s ok this pregnancy has me emotional. I um, I’m not married, but the father is in the picture. I mean, we only co-parent.” Shit that was the truth. Nothing has happened with me and Kritikal, he checked on me a lot, but that was it. We didn’t flirt, hug, kiss or anything. We didn’t talk about us either.

“Oh well, at least he’s stepping up for the child’s sake. As far as you, mama gotta live to right?” He joked, and I chuckled.

“Your right, I never got your name.”

“Oh shit my apologies, I’m Jasper.” Damn when he said his name I swear it sound familiar. I was looking at baby names last night, so maybe that’s why.

“My name is Justice.” He smiled, and his hazel eyes were glowing.

“Jasper and Justice has a nice ring. So can I give you my number? I would love to take you out to dinner.” I thought about it and even though Jasper wasn’t my type. He was decent and seemed nice. I was loving food more and more lately so why not. Kritikal made his place in my life clear, and I needed new conversation.
